July 18, 2025: The NDA's chances of winning the Bihar assembly elections later this year are expected to improve as a result of PM Modi's inauguration tour and Motihari rally.

On Friday, in poll-bound Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for projects worth 7,200 crore rupees. This year's assembly elections in Bihar are scheduled for October or November, and chief minister Nitish Kumar and the NDA hope to regain power. It is anticipated that PM Modi's inauguration tour and Motihari rally will improve those chances. “Whenever the Prime Minister has visited the state, he has brought significant contributions to the growth of Bihar.

The Prime Minister will also dedicate public projects worth more than 7,000 crores today. "The efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the development of Bihar will prove to be a milestone in and of themselves, and Bihar will progress," said sources.

In Bihar, which projects will PM Narendra Modi launch or lay the groundwork for?

Rail projects: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate multiple rail projects to the nation, providing a significant boost to Bihar's rail infrastructure. It includes automatic signaling between the Samastipur-Bachhwara rail line and the Darbhanga-Thalwara and Samastipur-Rambhadrapur rail lines, both of which will increase the capacity of train operations and reduce delays as part of the Darbhanga-Samastipur doubling project, which is worth more than 580 crore. In addition, Modi will lay the groundwork at Patliputra for the development of infrastructure for Vande Bharat train maintenance and the installation of automatic signaling on the 114-kilometer Bhatni–Chhapra Gramin rail line to facilitate more efficient train operations. The upgradation of the traction system in the Bhatni–Chhapra Gramin section will allow higher train speeds by strengthening traction infrastructure and optimising energy efficiency.

Additionally, the Darbhanga–Narkatiaganj rail line doubling project, which is estimated to cost around 4,080 crore rupees, will improve connectivity between North Bihar and the rest of the country, enable the operation of more passenger and freight trains, and increase sectional capacity. He will launch four brand-new Amrit Bharat trains that will improve regional and interstate rail connectivity by connecting important cities like Patna, Motihari, Darbhanga, and Malda Town to major cities like New Delhi and Lucknow.

Road connectivity: PM Modi will open the Parariya-to-Mohania section of NH-319 and lay the foundation stone for the four-lane Ara bypass. It is anticipated that this corridor, which links Ara Town to the Golden Quadrilateral, will improve passenger and freight transportation. He will also open a two-lane paved shoulder road under NH-333C that connects Bihar and Jharkhand and runs from Sarwan to Chakai.

Push for digital infrastructure: PM Modi is scheduled to launch a few projects to improve Bihar's digital infrastructure. He will open a brand-new Darbhanga Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) facility and a cutting-edge Patna incubation center. These facilities are meant to help Bihar's IT and startup ecosystem grow, encourage software exports, and encourage creativity and entrepreneurship.

Development of fisheries: As part of the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY), a number of projects aimed at improving fisheries will also be launched. The establishment of hatcheries, biofloc units, ornamental fish farming units, and integrated aquaculture infrastructure are among these projects. Through increased fish production and entrepreneurial endeavors, the new projects are anticipated to boost the rural economy and create employment.

Housing grants and self-help groups: PM Modi will give 61,500 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in Bihar 400 crore under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM). As part of a Griha Pravesh celebration for 12,000 families, he will also distribute over 160 crore rupees to 40,000 beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin.
