Joshi read out the names of nine additional MPs who had been suspended from the House, all of whom were from the Opposition, when the Lok Sabha reconvened at 3 p.m. However, because DMK MP SR Parthiban was not in the House at the time, the suspension was reversed later that evening.

Soon after the announcement, the House was forced to adjourn until December 15.
